“Relief with Pleasure: Ghost Pisser”, is a translucent Phillipe Starck chair with a DVD player under the seat. Videos of me urinating can only be viewed while seated, between spread legs. “Ghost Pisser” continues my exploration of urine, ownership and self-awareness, by transferring part of the performance to the audience. Inspired by Salvador Dali's "Metamorphosis of Narcissus", Ghost Pisser lures each participant to see a reflection of themselves in my video stream and plays with notions of self-indulgences and reinvention. During Art Basel Miami Beach 2004, I carried Ghost Pisser and placed it in different rooms and on the street to give onlookers an opportunity to participate. It gained particular interest at Scope Miami and was invited to show at Scope NY in 2005. In January 2005, it appeared in a group show at the.artist.network in downtown NYC.
